Jekyll to Substack

By Teddy Svoronos

I’ve been using Claude Code in a million ways, but one of them is to create tools that I don’t have the knowledge to make myself.

I’ve been cross-posting my Course Corrections posts to Substack, but Substack doesn’t really let you paste in arbitrary HTML.

I came across this repo for Obsidian and had Claude adapt it to my Jekyll site, resulting in my jekyll-to-substack-copy tool. In short, it’s a CLI tool that you can point to your Jekyll post and it will copy the content (including images) in a format that you can paste directly into a Substack editor.

There are some shortcomings, like footnote links not working, but otherwise a big upgrade to my workflow.

Sharing here in case others find it useful!
