Install (about a minute)

  1. Double-click the downloaded PPT-Remote-P2P-Mac.zip in your Downloads folder.
  2. Drag PPT Remote P2P Helper into your Applications folder, then open it.
  3. Approve each thing macOS asks for:
    1. Accessibility — makes slide jumps instant
    2. Local Network — lets the iPad find your Mac
    3. “…wants to control Microsoft PowerPoint” — click OK (may appear later, the first time the iPad connects)
    4. “…wants to access data from other apps” — click Allow
  4. You're done when a radio-waves icon appears in the menu bar at the top right. Click it and choose Launch at Login so it's always ready when you present.

Then, on the iPad

Open PPT Remote — it finds your Mac by itself. Open your deck in PowerPoint, tap Start, and you're presenting. Tap the ? button in the app any time for a guide to every control.

The helper keeps itself up to date (menu bar icon → Check for Updates to check manually). Questions? Ask Teddy.
